Paul Landauer

Paul Landauer is architect, PhD in History of Architecture ( Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, 2004) and “habilité à diriger les recherches” (HDR, Université Gustave Eiffel, 2019). He is Professor at the École d'architecture de la ville et des territoires Paris-Est - Université Gustave Eiffel since 2020, after having been Assistant Professeur in the same school from 2007 to 2020. He co-founded the master's program Transformation, which he now heads, and has headed the research laboratory OCS/AUSser (CNRS UMR 3329) since 2016.
After a period of research devoted to the architecture of large housing estates (history and potential) and the development of public spaces (conditions and models), his research is now focusing on the theories of transformation in architecture.
He has published around a hundred articles and contributions to collective books, as well as six books, including L'architecte, la ville et la sécurité (PUF, 2009), L'invention du grand ensemble (Picard, 2010) and Émile Aillaud, Portrait d'architecte (Infolio, éditions du Patrimoine, 2011). He is currently preparing the publication of a book, Ruine et réparation, as well as an exhibition-catalogue on stock at the Pavillon de l'Arsenal in Paris.
He is also a member of the Commission du Vieux Paris and partner in the architecture studio Füzesséry-Landauer.
