Marnes, architecture documents
The École publishes a journal that aims to accumulate and share intellectual resources in the field of architecture, urban planning and landscape. It mainly consists of reprints/translations of unpublished texts that are difficult to access, published with a substantial critical apparatus presenting both their original context and their topicality. Marnes is somewhere between an in-depth review and a reference collection or anthology, while at the same time being an integral part of the École's teaching and research activities.
Marnes, documents d’architecture est une revue visant à accumuler et à partager des ressources intellectuelles dans le domaine de l’architecture, de l’urbanisme et du paysage éditée par l’École d’architecture de la ville & des territoires Paris-Est depuis 2010.
Ce deuxième volume de marnes contient les premières traductions françaises de « Singapour Songlines » de Rem Koolhaas l'article le plus volumineux de l’ouvrage S, M, L, XL, les essais de Fumihiko Maki de 1964 sur les « formes collectives », ainsi qu’un texte inédit de Le Corbusier sur l’usage de la pierre en architecture (1937).
The periodical publication we are inaugurating with this issue is intended to be a tool for all those who study or teach architecture in our language, and for all those who, whether amateurs or professionals, travel the territories of architecture today.
