Luc Baboulet

Luc Baboulet, architect and researcher, has been teaching at the École d'architecture de la ville & des territoires Paris-Est since its inception. He holds a DEA (Paris-Belleville, ‘Le projet architectural et urbain’) on the Californian Case Study Program of the 1950s and has written extensively on American architecture and culture. He co-edited the magazine ‘Le visiteur’ for several years.

He has also contributed to the publication and dissemination of the work of English critic Reyner Banham through two books: Los Angeles, l'architecture des quatre écologies (2008, translation and preface) and L'architecture de l'environnement bien tempéré (2011, preface).

Luc Baboulet is currently working on the theme of ‘architecture as experience’ from a pragmatic and phenomenological perspective.

At the school, he teaches design in the Transformation master's programme and gives theory classes in both cycles, as well as in the post-master's programme DPEA in Post-Carbon Architecture.

Finally, Luc Baboulet is an active contributor to the journal Marnes, documents d'architecture.
