This exhibition presents a selection of student work from three courses at Ensa Paris-Est during the 2025–2026 academic year:

- the Master’s in Transformation
- the post-Master’s in Architecture and Urban Planning
- the post-Master’s in Architecture of Planetary Limits

This work forms part of a support programme for three communities of municipalities (Argonne Ardennaise, Ardennes Thiérache, Crêtes Préardennaises), pilot areas addressing the challenges of rural revitalisation in an era of land-use restraint. It is organised around four themes that address the objectives of tackling property vacancy, preserving natural resources and heritage, and fostering a new appeal based on community life and sustainable development.

The ultimate aim of this initiative is to provide reflective and practical input for the guide on revitalising rural areas.

Rethinking the planning of villages and town centres

1 . A greenway to reconnect a region. Towards attractive and sustainable town centres (DSA architect and town planner)

2 . Rethinking the development of the village of Aouste based on a focus on local energy (M2 Transformation)

3 . Breathing new life into the village of Grandpré by redeveloping the urban corridor running through it (M2 Transformation)

Repurposing vacant farm buildings

4 . Intervening on farm buildings in Mesmont (M2 Transformation)

5 . Re-examining large vacant rural dwellings (DPEA Architecture of Planetary Limits)

6 . Rehabilitation of a farmstead in Flaignes-Havys (M2 Transformation)

Building, renovating and developing waterfront areas

7 . Renovation, regeneration and enhancing the appeal of the villages of La Vaux in the Crêtes préardennaises (DSA Architect and Urban Planner)

8 . Redevelopment of the derelict ‘Bief du Seigneur’ site in Lalobbe (M1 Transformation)

9 . Towards a new approach to stormwater management along the greenway and the River Aisne in Vouziers (M1 Transformation)
