Structure and architecture training
Who is concerned?
This procedure is reserved for students who are in the process of obtaining, or who hold, a Diplôme d'Etudes en Architecture (DEEA) or a European Bachelor's degree in architecture under the LMD system, and who are entering the Master's cycle for the first time. Students who have already completed a Master's degree are excluded from this procedure.
Foreign applicants who have been granted refugee status and meet the required criteria are also eligible for this procedure.
Applicants for this course must hold a bachelor's degree or European equivalent with a scientific background.
Candidates wishing to apply for both the Structure & Architecture Master's program and another full-time or apprenticeship program (Structure & Architecture is not open to apprenticeships) must submit two applications. Selection committees will not switch between applications.
Students enrolled in an ENSA (excluding international mobility students) must apply directly for a transfer via their Taïga student portal and follow the procedure indicated.
The application is made on the portal Taïga admission. Select Ensa Paris-Est and create a file.
Application fee: €37 by bank transfer rib, not applied to scholarship students with proof.

Documents to be submitted For all applicants
For all applicants*
- A cover letter explaining why you have decided to change academic direction and pursue your studies at ENSA de Paris-Est in the Structure & Architecture program (format A4 recto-verso maximum - PDF);
- Copies of transcripts from the baccalaureate or European equivalent and from the 3 years of undergraduate studies at a school of architecture (one PDF);
- A portfolio of selected works (portfolio format: A4 - PDF, maximum 19.8 MB);
- A curriculum vitae describing the applicant's academic and professional background (PDF format);
Special cases
- Candidates with scholarships must also submit their final scholarship certificate for 2023-24 to be exempted from the application fee.
- Applicants who have been granted refugee status must also submit supporting documents proving that they have been granted refugee status.
- International applicants must submit proof of French language proficiency.
Optional
- All documents supporting the candidate's application (letter of recommendation, internship certificate, etc.).

Additional information for international applicants
International candidates must provide proof of French language proficiency, either :
- The Diplôme d'Études de Langue Française (DELF), level B2 ;
- The Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française (DALF), level C1;
- Or the Test de Connaissance en Français (TCF) DAP (overall score greater than or equal to 420 and greater than or equal to 12/20 - written and oral).
Selection procedures
Eligible applications will be examined by a selection committee.
This commission will evaluate the applications, and draw up a shortlist of candidates for an interview with a panel of judges, which will take place on March 27, 2024 at the school (or remotely on request, with proof of identity only for candidates living outside mainland France).
Interviews last between 15 and 20 minutes. Candidates must provide the jury with their portfolio, which will serve as a guideline for the interview.
Admission results will be announced in June 2024. In the event of multiple applications, admitted candidates will be notified of their year of admission and/or course of study (full-time or apprenticeship or Structure & Architecture), as decided by the admissions jury.
A supplementary list may be drawn up depending on the number of applicants. Unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by e-mail.
